World Bank’s Digital Agriculture team hosted a workshop at Georgetown University on digital acceleration of agricultural transformation.
Martien van Nieuwkoop, Director of Agriculture GP and Steven Radelet, Director of the Global Human Development Program at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service opened the event. The workshop participants discussed how digital technology is transforming different segments of the agri-food value chain, and what policies are needed to stimulate the penetration of technology in the agriculture sector while addressing possible risks like data privacy.
